If you think broadcasting standards have been breached you are entitled to make a formal complaint.

Details on the formal complaints process are below.

To complain about an advertisement please contact the Advertising Standards Authority: www.asa.co.nz

To complain about online only news and current affairs content please contact the Online Media Standards Authority: www.omsa.co.nz

Making a formal complaint:

If you think the broadcasting standards may have been breached you are entitled to make a formal complaint. Formal complaints are dealt with by the broadcaster’s Standards Committee.

If you are not sure what broadcasting standards are, please read the codes first:

With the exception of complaints about breaches of privacy (which may be sent directly to the Broadcasting Standards Authority), you must send your complaint to the broadcaster in the first instance.
